Bio
Believing strongly in the power of asking questions, Jenn aims to instill in each of her students a fiery intellectual curiosity rooted in deep critical thinking. Having grown up in Hong Kong, Jenn speaks Mandarin and is fortunate to have travelled extensively throughout Asia and Australia. Originally from Newfoundland, she also enjoys weekend getaways to “The Rock” any chance she gets.

Education/Qualifications
Jenn completed a BA in Humanistic Studies from McGill University, and recently finished an MA in Conflict Studies from the University of Ottawa. She will be starting a PhD in Gender, Feminist and Women’s Studies at York University this September. Having completed an interdisciplinary BA and MA, Jenn truly believes that human knowledge is cumulative and interconnected, and emphasizes the absolute importance of critical thinking to all of her students. Awarded the Graduate Excellence Scholarship during her MA, Jenn strives to keep a balance between maintaining academic excellence while always giving back. She was co-president of her program’s student societies in both her BA and MA, and her passion for social justice has led her to many remarkable volunteer opportunities.
